LOST PROPERTY

MANUAL BAYS OR AUTOMATIC

Any items that are left behind by customers which are found by Suds City staff or handed in by customers are kept for two weeks and then thrown out. If valuables are found (jewellery, keys, wallets etc.) we will keep them for longer periods, or hand over to the Local Police Station.  Any items sucked in by Vacuums can be retrieved by asking one of our friendly attendants.

We do try to locate owners where practical. If your name or phone number are on your item we can contact you quickly and easily.  Please make sure that anything you take out of your vehicle is put back in!

Items can come off vehicles in the Automatic wash bays. Some items we find include:

Fuel Filler Doors
Spotlight/Driving Light Covers
L&P Plates
Magnetic Signs
Assorted Plastic Covers

JAMMED NOTES & COINS

NOTES
Most change machines require that a note is complete, isn't glued or taped together, isn't too creased and isn't too worn.

If you find that a machine won't take your note it is usually for one of those reasons, although this isn't a hard and fast rule. Sometimes change machines will take notes that appear worn out and creased but will not take a new note that appears to have nothing wrong with it.

When a machine isn't taking a note we have found that folding the note length ways and creasing it slightly helps it go through the machine.

COINS
Insert the coins with a little bit of a push, then pause between each coin. Coins generally jam because they are inserted too quickly one after another.

Change machines need maintenance to keep them operating at their best and if we find a change machine that isn't taking notes or coins properly we will fix it as soon as we can.
